How Does They Work ?

This humidification technology uses a metal diaphragm that vibrates at a high frequency to generate a micro-fine cool or warm mist. A fan then blows the mist into the room where it immediately evaporates.

These ultrasonic sounds are inaudible to humans, but they're capable of some pretty powerful things - like dislodging dirt from surfaces. They can also break water particles from the humidifier's built-in reservoir apart into a cool vapor. In the past there were some disadvantages to ultrasonic humidifiers, such as white mineral dust and the build-up of bacteria and mold in the tank. However, many of the ultrasonic humidifiers available today, like those offered by Air-O-Swiss or Stadler Form, are equipped with demineralization cartridges and hydro cells to counteract these problems.
As these models don't depend on fans, they're some of the quietest humidifiers around. They're also super low maintenance compared with many other models, which may demand frequent changing of bulbs, replacement of steam canisters or cleaning of pans. Additionally, since ultrasonic humidifiers don't use heat, they require minimal electricity. Ultrasonic humidifiers are easily portable, and can be instantly turned on and off. There's no waiting time for a heating element to boil the water, either, because the mist is produced through oscillation.
